 Description:

The Polo Fields Golf and Country Club, a private golf club located in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a candidate to fill the Membership Sales & Marketing Assistant position.  This person will be responsible for promoting the sale of all membership categories (golf and social) to area individuals, families and businesses.  The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, creative, salesperson with some golf experience.  This is a full time position.

Candidate must possess a proven track record in creative marketing and sales.  Individual must be a self-starter, motivated, energetic, focused, organized, and hospitality- and service-driven.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Increase membership in all categories by executing programs to drive awareness, create and implement lead generation strategies; schedule tours and prospecting events; identify and pursue target markets among area families and businesses.  The successful candidate will build and maintain a database of prospects, track leads and actively pursue all new membership opportunities; network with members, guests and the community to maximize leads and referrals.
  • Lead development through phone solicitation.
  • Maintain communication with management by providing weekly status reports.
  • Promote Club to the local community by attending member functions and community events.
  • Promote, coordinate and execute club functions and outings.
  • Maintain standards for member satisfaction and retention.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

  • Telemarketing experience preferred
  • 4-year college degree preferred and/or related experience in sales
  • Strong sales and 'people' skills required
  • General knowledge of golf preferred but not required
  • Sales training preferred
  • Proficiency in computer software will be helpful, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Solid time management and organizational skills; ability to work efficiently with little day-to-day supervision

Compensation:

$11.00 per hour plus commissions
